Revelation #6 – The four media actions verbs of access, analyze, evaluate, and produce provide a simple outline and plan on how to take most existing assignments and turn them into opportunities for students to improve their media literacy. For instance, take the classic Building Trades assignment of framing up a wall. With all the videos already in existence on the subject and a FLIP camera, students can do all four verbs and improve their media literacy while also ending up with a great video for their portfolio.
